The EU has developed a new test to measure fuel consumption and CO₂ figures called the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP). Official fuel consumption in mpg for the BMW X Series range is between 20.8 mpg and 235.4 mpg and CO₂ emission figures range between 39g/km and 308g/km.
